Retired judge joins JAMS as an arbitrator, mediator, special master and neutral evaluator

Miami – JAMS, the largest private provider of alternative dispute resolution (ADR) services worldwide, is pleased to announce that Myriam Lehr, Retired Judge, 11th Judicial Circuit, has joined JAMS. Ms. Lehr joins JAMS after serving 27 years as a judge in the 11th Judicial Circuit of Florida.

Prior to her time on the bench, she practiced civil litigation and mediation in Miami, handling a wide variety of civil matters including family law mediations. Her approach to cases is characterized by her commitment to treating all individuals with dignity and respect.

Based in the Miami Resolution Center, Ms. Lehr will serve as an arbitrator, mediator, special master and neutral evaluator, handling business and commercial, employment, insurance and real property matters. She is available to conduct sessions in person, as well as virtually, for clients across the country and internationally.

As a judge, Ms. Lehr presided over hundreds of jury and non-jury trials, covering a variety of practice areas, including business and commercial, real property, insurance (first- and third party), water remediation, personal injury protection, subrogation, breach of contract, breach of guarantees, foreclosures, commercial and residential evictions, dissolutions of marriage and domestic violence injunctions. Additionally, she has been a member of key legal associations, including serving as the Florida state chair of the National Association of Women Judges from 2013 through 2020.

“During three decades on the bench, I was committed to making sure all parties felt heard, and I worked closely with counsel to facilitate settlement where appropriate. I look forward to using these skills and leveraging my experience at JAMS,” said Ms. Lehr.

Ms. Lehr earned her B.A. from Florida International University and her J.D. from the University of Miami School of Law.
